When is the best time to get BTS Enterprises, Inc. involved in the planning, design, and installation of a home automation system?
During Initial planning sessions with you and your Architect/Builder/Interior Design team, before your blueprints are finalized, is the ideal time to get BTS Enterprises, Inc. involved. We can add years of valuable industry experience to many aspects of designing your dream home, beyond just entertainment and automation.
We already have our house plans. What's next?
For new construction and extensive renovation scenarios, low voltage contractors such as BTS Enterprises, Inc., take their turn with the other trades on the construction schedule. Below is a typical construction schedule with our tasks displayed in Blue.
|Rough In Cabling||Sometimes called Pre-Wire. Wall boxes for Home Theatre Connections, keypads, and voice/Data outlets are installed. Dry wall rings for in-wall/ceiling speakers are put into place. Hidden cable is placed inside wall and secured to prevent damage during the drywall process.|
|Trim Out||Electrical and Low Voltage contractors terminate cable and put wall plates and keypads in place. Equipment Racks, TV and Speaker mounts are put into place This phase cannot begin before painting and dust generating activity is complete.|
|Component Installation||Power conditioning equipment, amplifiers, servers, and controllers are placed into equipment racks. Cables are labeled and installed. Touchscreens are mounted in walls. TVs are installed on mounts.|
|Programming and testing||Remote controls are programmed. HVAC, lighting, security, and such are integrated into whole home controllers. Completed systems are tested.|
|Client Instruction||Client walk through is conducted. Client is instructed on the function of user interfaces. The warranty period now begins.|
|Follow-up||During the next two weeks, the client uses the systems noting any desired modifications to programming. Technician conducts follow up to address any pending issues. Delivery is now complete.|

My architect maintains his/her drawings (plans) on a PC CAD system. Does BTS Enterprises, Inc. do this with wiring diagrams as well?
Do you provide service and support for systems once they are installed? Or is that done through the manufacturers?
Systems installed by BTS Enterprises, Inc. carry a written limited warranty. For the specified warranty period (generally one year). We provide full service and support for our systems free of charge. For user questions and configuration issues, just give us call. We will resolve the problem over the phone or send our technician to your home or business. In the unlikely event that an installed component should malfunction and require service under a manufacturer’s warranty, we will ship the item back to manufacturers and reinstall the item
